Blues search for pitchers leads to purchase of Dowling
The Cleveland Blues have purchased hurler Pete Dowling (pictured) from the Milwaukee Brewers. The Blues pitching staff features four pitchers with earned run averages above 5.00 and their search for help led them to Dowling. Pete hasn't exactly been a beacon of success for Milwaukee this season. Thus far, he's compiled a 1-3 record with a 4.60 ERA in 9 appearances (4 starts).
