Fraser goes the distance as the Athletics win again
Chick Fraser (pictured) ran his record to 5-4 with a complete game win over the Blues in Cleveland today. Lajoie and Harry Davis each drove in runs with doubles in the first inning that helped stake Fraser to a 4-0 lead before the fans could get settled. Fraser wasn't at the top of his game (allowing 7 hits and walking 5), but still managed to get the win.

Chick Fraser went the distance as the PHILADELPHIA ATHLETICS outscored the
floundering Cleveland Blues 5 to 3.
PHILADELPHIA took the lead off Earl Moore in the first inning as they scored 4
runs on 4 base hits. That was all the runs Fraser(5-4) needed. Cleveland
had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
The losing pitcher was Moore(1-6). Jimmy McAleer was reflective after the
loss, 'We should have won this one, we just made one too many mistakes.
Son-of-a-gun, that added a couple more white hairs on this noggin of mine.'
