Athletics announce signing of lefty Plank
Eddie Plank, a 25-year old lefthander who hails from Gettsburg, PA, will be making his major league debut later today against the Washington Senators. Plank was signed as a free agent, and the Athletics are hoping he can add a solid arm to their starting staff of hurlers.
