Cross drives in two key runs as Athletics win in Washington

Lave Cross (pictured) provided some timely runs as the Athletics get a road win after a lineup shakeup. Connie Mack moved some of the hitters around in hopes of spurring some offense. Cross did well, although he batted in his usual six hole. He lined a single in the 5th that plated the lead run for Philadelphia. In the 7th inning, he gaves the Athletics and Chick Fraser some insurance with a sacrifice fly.
Athletics now stand at 6-11 and are a half game behind the Senators.
