Wid Conroy blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Tully Sparks tossed a complete

game at Lloyd Street Grounds as the Milwaukee Brewers belted the PHILADELPHIA

ATHLETICS by the count of 12 to 2.

Conroy provided much of the offense. He cracked a solo homerun in the 6th

inning, lashed a single bringing in two baserunners in the 6th inning and

lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 3rd of the season) in the 8th inning.

Milwaukee rapped out 17 hits for the afternoon.

Sparks(2-1) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. The losing

pitcher was Eddie Plank(1-1). He allowed a few too many baserunners giving

up 14 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
