AL pitching matchups for 4-25-01

Hugh Duffy and his Milwaukee Brewers are in Detroit to open their season against the Detroit Tigers. Emerson "Pink" Hawley gets the opening day call for Milwaukee. Hawley, 28, begins his 10th season in professional ball. His lifetime record is a bit mediocre, at 160 wins and 165 losses. Roscoe Miller will on the hill for the Tigers. Miller, a native of Greenville, IN will be making his professional debut.
Cleveland looks to follow up it's opening day win with another strong performance in Chicago. This matchup will feature two pitchers making their professional debuts. Earl Moore gets the call for Cleveland, while John Skopec, a mere 20 years old, gets the nod for Chicago.
The National League has not action this day.
