Oprhans fought back from a big deficit to tie it late on Crawford's 3 base error. Eason got lit up in relief however and the Reds won going away. Frank Chance was absolutely torched from behind the plate. Reds stole 10 bases off Chance.

Bill Phillips was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Sam Crawford had 4 hits and 3 RBI at West Side Park as the
Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Orphans in 10 innings by the count of 13 to
7.

The score was knotted at 7 after nine innings. Cincinnati came out the victor
in the 10th inning. The big moment was provided by John Dobbs who quieted
the crowd when he doubled plating two runs. Cincinnati banged out 17 on the
afternoon.

Phillips(1-1) lasted until the end allowing 7 runs for the win. Mal Eason(0-1)
was charged with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning allowing 6 hits and
no walks.
