Brooklyn commits 7 errors that lead to all Boston's runs being unearned. Even at that, they were able to overcome deficits on two different occassions and rally back in the 9th for their 7th straight win!

Wild Bill Donovan completed the game without help from the bullpen and center
fielder Tom McCreery had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the blistering-hot BROOKLYN
SUPERBAS won in dramatic fashion over the Boston Beaneaters by a score of 8
to 7 at Washington Park.

BROOKLYN had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Tom Daly got things
going when he drew a walk. Bill Dahlen stepped into the batter's box and he
stroked a base-hit. Deacon McGuire then would ground out which scored a run.
Duke Farrell followed and he was walked intentionally. Lefty Davis came to
the plate and drew a walk to load the bases. Willie Keeler kept the rally
going and hit a single making BROOKLYN victorious to the delight of the the
home town crowd. BROOKLYN had 17 hits for the afternoon.

Donovan(2-0) got the victory, allowing 7 runs for the game. Bob Lawson(0-1)
ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 2 hits in 2/3 of an
inning.
