Skopec, and the White Sox "defense" dug too big a hole to get out of. Blues build an early lead and pretty much rest on their laurels.

Earl Moore tossed a complete game at South Side Park where the Cleveland Blues
beat the Chicago White Sox by the score of 8 to 4.

Chicago fell behind quickly as the Cleveland offense came through in the first
inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. Both teams totaled 8 on the
afternoon.

Moore(1-0) allowed 4 runs on the game. John Skopec(0-1) was the losing
pitcher. He was not very effective, surrendering 8 runs in 7 innings.
