Orioles had a chance late in this one. Runners at 1st and 3rd with one out and the numbers 2 and 3 hitters up. Couldn't come through when it counted. Americans win 4-3.

Win Kellum pitched a complete game at Oriole Park as the Boston Americans beat
the Baltimore Orioles 4 to 3.

Kellum(1-0) pitched well for Boston in their victory. He was reached for 10
hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. Baltimore threatened in the 9th but their
rally came up short.

The loss was charged to Joe McGinnity(0-1). 'It was a tough one to lose' said
John McGraw 'We'll get them next time out.'
