Harry Wolverton had 2 base hits and 3 RBI and Red Donahue allowed Bill
Shettsline to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game at Baker Bowl as the
Philadelphia Phillies beat the Boston Beaneaters 6 to 3.

The game started off with Philadelphia taking the lead in the first scoring 3
runners on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Elmer Flick who
brought a roar from the partisan Baker Bowl fans when he doubled plating two
runs. Philadelphia rapped out 8 hits for the afternoon.

Donahue(1-1) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. Togie
Pittinger(0-1) was the loser. He gave up 8 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
