Mathewson continues to be shining light in Giants dark start
Christy Mathewson (pictured) went the distance, allowing only 2 runs to the first place Superbas. Christy got some late help from Charlie Hickman who singled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 9th. Mathewson runs his record to 3-2 with the win...and those 3 wins match the Giants season total thus far.
