Beaneaters release outfielder Barry
23-year old Shad Barry, who started the first 11 games in left field for Boston, was released from his contract today. In 43 at-bats, Barry was hitting .279 with 1 run batted in. Boston started Daff Gammons in left in it's most recent game, but it's not clear who will take over the job on a regular basis.
