Freeman provides go-ahead blast in Americans win

Americans fell behind by allowing a 4 spot in the first, but they rallied back through the middle innings. The key play was Buck Freeman's (pictured) go ahead blast in the 6th inning.

Cy Young tossed a complete game and Buck Freeman cracked a homer and had 2 RBI

as the Boston Americans beat the PHILADELPHIA ATHLETICS by a score of 6 to

5.



In the 6th inning Boston scored 3 runs with the help of 3 hits. The crucial

at-bat was provided by Freeman who came through for the home fans when he

cracked a two-run shot (his 3rd of the season). Boston banged out 11 on the

afternoon.
