Superbas snap minor losing streak with 23 hit attack
Brooklyn broke their modest two game losing streak with a blowout offense performance. Every player in the lineup stroked at least one hit, and the bottom third really showed out with 12 hits and 9 ribbies.

Jim Hughes tossed a fine 3 hitter and Bill Dahlen had 5 hits and 3 RBI at
South End Grounds as the BROOKLYN SUPERBAS belted the Boston Beaneaters by
the count of 15 to 2.
Dahlen had a big day at the plate. He tripled plating two runs in the 1st
inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 3rd inning, ripped a base-knock in
the 4th inning, delivered a single in the 6th inning and doubled in the 8th
inning. BROOKLYN kept the scorekeepers busy in the 1st inning when they had
5 runs on 6 hits. BROOKLYN simply wore out the Boston pitching staff,
scoring in 6 different innings.
Hughes(2-0), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The loss was
charged to Togie Pittinger(0-2). His ERA increased from 4.50 to 11.12 as he
allowed 10 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings.
