
Seybold "socks" a game winner for Athletics
Socks Seybold blasted a 2-run shot in the 9th that won the game in style for Philadelphia. Nap Lajoie had another big day at the plate with a 4-4 performance, and scored four different times. Billy Milligan went all 10 innings for the A's and ran his record to 2-0.

Socks Seybold connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI and Billy Milligan
pitched a complete game as the PHILADELPHIA ATHLETICS defeated the Baltimore
Orioles in 10 innings 7 to 5 at Columbia Park.
The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. PHILADELPHIA won the
game in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Nap Lajoie got things
going when he drew a walk. Seybold stepped into the batter's box and he
blasted a two-run home run (his 2nd of the season) making PHILADELPHIA
victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. PHILADELPHIA managed
13 in their victory.
Milligan(2-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 5 runs. Bill
Karns(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.
