
Fultz makes his only hit count as Athletics rally late
Leftfielder Dave Fultz (pictured) made his only hit of the game count as he drove a McGinnity offering into right field in the 7th to score the go-ahead run for Philadelphia. Lajoie followed with a 2-run shot to more or less put the game away. Bock Baker, in his Athletic debut, went the distance and got the win in the 8-3 game.

PHILADELPHIA brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 7th inning with
the help of 3 hits. It was enough to earn the victory. PHILADELPHIA banged

Baker(1-1) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. Joe
McGinnity(4-2) ended up with the loss. He allowed 11 hits and 5 walks in 8
and 1/3 innings.
