Brooklyn keeps on winning! McCann almost doubled his pitch count and was heavily fatigued in the 9th. With 2 runners on and 2 out, Brickyard Kennedy came on to pitch to Elmer Flick. He got the pop out to end the game and the Superbas streak is at 8!

One run was the difference at Washington Park as the streaking BROOKLYN
SUPERBAS defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 4 to 3.

BROOKLYN took the lead for good in the 2nd inning scoring one runner on 2
hits. Philadelphia made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push
the needed runs across.

Gene McCann(3-0) went 8 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory.
Brickyard Kennedy earned the save, his 2nd. Bill Duggleby(1-2) absorbed the
loss.
